An innovative solution to prepare today’s leaders for tomorrow’s boards

Take the Next Step

Take the next step in your leadership journey and position yourself for board service at the highest levels. The Board Accelerator Program is designed for accomplished professionals who are ready to refine their executive presence, expand their influence, and develop a strategic plan for securing a board seat.

The Board Accelerator Program

In 2023, we hosted a dynamic Summit with discussions focused on Board Readiness. Following that conversation, we committed to developing a program that equips accomplished professionals with the tools and strategies necessary to secure board positions. Drawing from key insights shared by Dr. Latricia Frederick’s research and the expertise of distinguished panelists—including Dr. Frederick, Debra Lee, Andrew Davis, Michelle Campbell, and moderator Ceci Kurzman—we have built a program that prepares leaders for board service at the highest levels.

This program is designed to prepare mid-to-senior-level professionals to step into board roles by refining their governance expertise, expanding their networks, and strengthening their strategic leadership skills. Participants will gain the knowledge, relationships, and experience needed to secure a seat on a nonprofit, private, or public board within two years of completing the program.

Why this program?

Successful board leadership requires more than just experience—it demands a clear understanding of governance, decision-making at the highest levels, and access to the right opportunities. Many capable leaders are ready for board service but lack the roadmap to get there. The Board Accelerator Program bridges that gap by providing structured learning, expert mentorship, and strategic networking to accelerate participants’ paths to board membership.

What sets this program apart?

The Board Accelerator Program takes a proactive approach to preparing the next generation of board members. Unlike traditional leadership programs, this initiative offers a research-backed curriculum, direct engagement with experienced board members, personalized coaching, and a hands-on capstone project. Participants will not only develop the competencies necessary for board service but will also gain the strategic insights and connections needed to position themselves for success in the boardroom.
